The Ox: Confidence from run-in will help for next season

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain feels Arsenal are in a good position ahead of next seasons Premier League campaign after a strong run of form ended their season on a high.

It was the case of another season, no trophies for Arsene Wenger’s side, however they strung together an impressive ten-game unbeaten run to claim a top four place at the expense of rivals Spurs when the odds were clearly against them earlier in the year.

The Ox featured often in the latter stage of the season including playing an integral role in the Gunners midfield against Newcastle with Mikel Arteta suffering from an injury in the final match of the season, and is looking forward to continuing their form into next campaign
The England international managed 25 Premier League appearances scoring once for the Gunners and he has revealed that after the ‘successful’ run in the side will want to push for some silverware next season.
He told Sky Sports News:
At Arsenal Football Club we want to be challenging for titles first and foremost.

But towards the back end of the season we realised that we weren’t going to be able to do that so we set ourselves a new target to make sure we qualified for the Champions League, to make sure that Arsenal maintained its name at the highest level in Europe.
In that sense, it was a success.
The way we finished the season and the confidence we can take from that will stand us in good stead for the start of next season.
I think we have come on in strides at the back end of this season and I think everyone is really buzzing and will be ready to go for pre-season and the start of next season.
