The Roma Liverpool semi-final was a cracker. The boys in Red managed to pull off an unbelievable score against Roma. It might appear like a walk-over with the final score of 5-2, but it was neck-and-neck the whole way.
With a margin of 1% on the possession its safe to say that it wasn’t easy getting all those goals, even though some of them looked that way. Firmino and Salah both took 2 goals a piece and Sadio Mané make a reprieval of his botched first attempt at goal.
The first half saw the first two goals by Salah and stayed that way until late in the second half. Mané added the third and Firmino basically sealed the deal with a single header and quick tap to score the remaining 2 goals to give Liverpool a 5 goal lead.
Edin Džeko finally nipped one passed Loris Karius after chesting down a great cross from Nainggolan. Their second goal came from a penalty when the ref called a deliberate handball in the penalty box. Still, it was too little to late for Roma, and they have to hope they can redeem themselves in the second leg and prevent Liverpool from scoring any more goals.
