Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has urged the Arsenal youngsters to make the most out of the opportunities that come their way in order to impress the manager.
The Ox was speaking to the media ahead of their Champions League tie with Galatasaray in Istanbul.
Following the inclusion of Chuba Akpom, Alex Iwobi, Glen Kamara, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Stefan O’Connor and Gedion Zelalem into the squad that will play against Galatasaray by the manager, Chamberlain urged the youngsters to prove their worth.
“All young players have to start somewhere and you have to be challenged at some point, so if they have the opportunity to play they have a chance to prove they are capable,” the forward explained.”
The Ox gave his own view of the players and how he thought they would perform stating:
“From what I have seen, they have all got good quality, they are all good lads and I am sure they will be up for the challenge and trying to prove to the boss they are good players.”
Despite all the expectations and pressure that comes with playing in the Champions League, Chamberlain advised that the best way to approach such a test would be to play with no fear since you’re still young and there will be more opportunities ahead.
He however maintained confidence stating that the older players will be there to help the youngsters cope with the situation.
